This striking antique jewelry box by the renowned Jennings Brothers captures the geometric elegance of the Art Deco era, dating closely to the 1920s or 1930s. Crafted from what is likely cast white metal or spelter with a beautifully aged, pewter-toned patina, the casket features bold radiating lines on the lid, fan or sunburst motifs on the front and back, and rests on four subtle ball feet. Lifting the heavy hinged lid reveals a luxurious, deep crimson velvet-lined interior, providing a rich, moody contrast to the dark metal exterior that fits perfectly into a dark academia or vintage vanity vignette. The underside is just as thoughtfully designed, featuring a textural fleur-de-lis pattern alongside the stamped maker's mark "JB 1568". Please note that this piece wears its century of history authentically; alongside natural wear to the patina, there is a visible dent and small structural split along the upper edge of the front fan detail. Despite this character mark, it remains a handsome and highly displayable piece of early 20th-century metalware.
