Antique Heavily Weathered General Store Display Case: Collection Box

Add a touch of historic mercantile charm to a Dark Academia, Moody Vintage, or traditional English country interior with this antique slanted-glass general store display case. Originally loaned to merchants for the exclusive display of A. Stein & Company products out of Chicago and New York, this piece has been thoughtfully repurposed into a stunning antiquarian collection box.

The display box features a dark, heavily distressed wood frame that boasts a rich, time-tested patina with authentic scuffs, finish loss, and a wonderfully weathered character. A hinged drop-down back door, complete with a small brass pull and the original maker's label, provides easy access to the interior. Inside, the display floor is lined with classic green, maroon, and dark blue marbled paper, creating an elegant, scholarly backdrop for your most treasured smalls. The slanted glass viewing window offers the perfect angle for curating and protecting a collection of Neoclassical plaster intaglios, antique wax seals, miniature portraits, or curious natural history specimens. Estimated age of this box is between 1900 - 1920s.

SHIPPING
As much as possible, we utilize recycled shipping boxes. The box you receive your item in may show signs of wear and pre-use.
