Details
Presenting a stunning mid-century original oil painting by the artist Krynitz, featuring its original gallery tag from the esteemed W.T. Burger Co. This highly tactile piece captures a breathtaking Alpine or European mountain landscape, showcasing a rustic wooden chalet nestled in a valley beneath towering, jagged, snow-dusted peaks. Executed with masterful palette knife techniques, the painting boasts a striking, heavy impasto texture that gives the mountains and foreground incredible, sculptural depth and dimension. It features a beautiful, moody color palette of slate greys, creamy whites, soft sky blues, and rich earthy greens highlighted by two prominent fir trees in the foreground, and is proudly signed by the artist in the lower right-hand corner. The artwork is beautifully presented in its original, wide-profile painted wood frame, featuring a creamy off-white finish accented by a subtle green inner edge that perfectly frames the landscape. The reverse retains the original W.T. Burger Co. label confirming the title "Mountains & Lakes," along with a secure hanging wire. Please note that this piece is in authentic vintage condition; while the painting itself is wonderfully preserved, the frame exhibits typical age-related wear including minor scuffs, edge rubbing, and some tearing to the protective paper backing. It is an exquisite, atmospheric addition to a modern rustic aesthetic, a classical study, or an eclectic gallery wall.
