Vintage Set of 5 Adams Staffordshire "Town of Plymouth" Blue Souvenir Saucers

Offer a piece of American history with this set of five vintage souvenir saucers produced by the renowned Adams Potteries in Staffordshire, England. These pieces feature a rich, deep blue transferware finish often referred to by collectors as "Flow Blue" or "Historical Blue" due to the ink’s blurred, softening effect into the glaze. The design is a detailed tribute to Plymouth, Massachusetts. The central focal point is the Town of Plymouth seal (incorporating the 1620 date and the four figures representing the virtues of the Pilgrims). Surrounding this center are four iconic historical vignettes:
- The Mayflower (labeled "The Mayflower Plymouth Mass 1620")
- Plymouth Rock (housed under its portico)
- The Pilgrim Memorial Monument (National Monument to the Forefathers)
- Pilgrim Hall Museum

Condition:
There is minor visible crazing (fine crackling of the glaze) consistent with earthenware of this period. One saucer has a significant hairline crack running through the body (as seen in the detailed photos), not distinguishable from top of plate. Due to the flow blue nature of the ink the makers mark is blurred on all five plates.

SHIPPING
As much as possible, we utilize recycled shipping boxes. The box you receive your item in may show signs of wear and pre-use.
