Vintage White Alabaster Compote

Presenting a beautifully substantial vintage white alabaster compote, featuring a wide, shallow bowl resting gracefully on a pedestal base. This striking piece showcases the mesmerizing natural beauty of carved alabaster, with characteristic semi-translucent, cloud-like orbicular patterns and subtle veining moving throughout the stone. The piece's neutral, creamy-white palette and elegant silhouette make it an incredibly versatile styling prop for modern organic, classical, or wabi-sabi interiors. Please note that this compote is in imperfect vintage condition and features a prominent, previously crack extending from the outer rim toward the center of the bowl. This crack is a notable flaw but does not compromise structural integrity. Additionally, it shows typical signs of age and handling, including minor surface wear, scuffs, and small flea-bite chips along the edges of the rim and the pedestal foot. Because of this wear, the compote is best suited for dry decorative use—making it a perfect sculptural catch-all for coral, dried botanicals, or decorative spheres.

SHIPPING
As much as possible, we utilize recycled shipping boxes. The box you receive your item in may show signs of wear and pre-use.
