Antique Signed Quilt (1926-1932) - Sage Green Pinwheel - Documented History

Own a documented piece of American textile history with this exceptional signed and dated antique quilt, featuring a "Pinwheel" or "Flutter Wheel" pattern variation. Executed in a muted, earthy sage green calico print against a crisp white ground, this heirloom piece represents a touching multi-generational project. The quilt is distinguished by a rare, hand-embroidered signature strip that documents its lineage: "1926 - Mary Ann Piper Cochran 88 years" and "Quilted 1932 by Etta Felt." Historical notes accompanying the piece suggest it was pieced in the 1920s (likely by Mary Ann near her 88th year) and finished by her granddaughter, Etta Cochran Felt, in 1932. The quilt features expert hand-quilting throughout and, while structurally sound, exhibits some age-related discoloration and spotting consistent with its 100-year history, adding to its authentic primitive character. No tears or holes have been found anywhere on the quilt. Beautiful condition.

SHIPPING
As much as possible, we utilize recycled shipping boxes. The box you receive your item in may show signs of wear and pre-use.
