  • Details
This set of two vintage stoneware mixing bowls brings a striking, textured presence to any kitchen or collection. Each bowl features a bold, relief-molded pattern that adds significant architectural interest to their classic silhouettes. The larger bowl is finished in a vibrant, deep cobalt blue glaze with a sharp, geometric icicle or mountain-inspired motif, while the smaller bowl offers a warm, earthy contrast in a honey-gold caramel glaze with a traditional vertical ribbed or "beehive" texture. Both pieces exhibit a high-gloss finish that beautifully catches the light, accentuating the depth and detail of their embossed designs.

These bowls are not only visually compelling but also carry the weight and durability of quality mid-century American stoneware. The smaller caramel-toned bowl is marked "USA 5 IN." on the base, confirming its domestic origin and 5-inch diameter, while the cobalt bowl shares a similar unglazed footing typical of functional utility ware from that era. Both pieces show authentic vintage character, including minor variations in the glaze and natural darkening to the unglazed bases, which highlight their history of use and primitive charm. Whether displayed as a nested set, used for small prep tasks, or styled as part of a curated farmhouse vignette, these bowls serve as a beautiful bridge between mid-century industrial utility and timeless decorative art.

Measurements (approximate - rounded to the nearest quarter inch):
