  • Details
This pair of vintage forest green glass bottles are authentic examples of the iconic Mateus Rosé wine bottle. Created in 1942, Mateus Rosé became a world-renowned Portuguese wine, famous not only for its flavor but for its distinctively shaped vessel. These bottles feature the classic, flattened "flask" or "bladder" silhouette that has remained a popular staple of Portuguese viticulture for over 80 years. Crafted from thick, heavy glass, they boast a rich, deep emerald hue that glows beautifully when caught by the light.

Each bottle is finished with a classic narrow neck and a rounded rim, making them ideal for use as bud vases or as standalone decorative accents on a mantel, windowsill, or curated shelf. The bases are embossed with various alphanumeric markings and the letter "F" in a shield, a hallmark associated with the Fairmount Glass Works, which produced these bottles for the wine industry. In excellent vintage condition, the glass remains clear with no notable chips or cracks, though light surface wear and natural air bubbles consistent with age may be present. Their slim, oval profile allows them to fit perfectly on narrow ledges, adding a touch of mid-century European charm to any interior.
