  • Details
This striking cobalt blue glass dish, featuring elegant cabriole feet and detailed panel molding, is a beautiful decorative piece. While it mimics the look of high-style Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) from the Victorian era, it is most likely a Mid-Century item (c. 1940s–1970s), possibly manufactured by a company like Indiana Glass, which popularized colored glass reproductions.

The dimensions and squared rim of this dish strongly suggest it was originally the base of a covered trinket box or candy dish that is now missing its lid. Despite this, the piece stands beautifully on its own. It is perfectly sized for use as a jewelry or ring holder on a vanity, a small candy or nut dish, a master salt cellar for a dine in experience, or a striking catch-all for coins and other smalls.

The body features deep vertical ribs or panel cuts that provide a lovely contrast and sparkle to the vivid cobalt hue. It is in good vintage condition, with the only notable imperfection being a small chip or fleabite on one corner of the rim—a common occurrence on old glass, and one that does not detract from its charm. This piece offers all the visual appeal of antique glass with the brilliant, saturated color of mid-century favorites.

    Disclosures:
No major flaws to note other than the missing lid. Once small manufacturing flaw on the inside rim of the dish (see listing photos).
