Add a piece of genuine artistry to your plant collection with this stunning, one-of-a-kind studio pottery head planter. This unique ceramic bust was created by artist Jessica (last name illegible) in July 1981, and titled "I've Lost My Head" making it a fantastic example of the expressive and personal style of the mid-20th-century studio pottery movement.

The planter features a sculptural form of an abstract, contemplative head. Its beauty lies in the rich, highly textured, and multi-tonal glaze that covers the surface, blending earthy tones of brown and gold with subtle, iridescent hints of blue and green. This mesmerizing finish gives the piece a rustic and soulful character, ensuring it stands out as a true work of art.

Perfect for showcasing your favorite small plants, succulents, or cacti, this planter is as functional as it is beautiful. The bottom of the piece is inscribed by the artist, adding to its provenance and value as an authentic creation. It also includes several drainage holes, which are essential for keeping your plants healthy.

This head planter is more than just a pot; it's a conversation starter and a unique accent that will bring a touch of vintage charm and artistic flair to any bookshelf, desk, or windowsill. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. Would fit up to a 5-inch nursery pot or you could plant directly into the opening.

*Listing is for the head planter only. The plant and other items shown in the photos are for display purposes.

Once you remove an item's traces of age and patina it's not something you can reverse, so we leave those activities up to the buyer. We try our best to describe items accurately and disclose any and all flaws and imperfections. Please refer to pictures as a visual description. PHOTOGRAPHY
All photos are taken in natural light and we do not use any photo filters and do not perform and photo editing (other than basic photo cropping). Depending on your monitor settings, there may be subtle differences in color once you see your item in person.

    HANDMADE
Handmade items are made slowly and carefully one project and a time. They are not produced by machinery, and although we work hard to ensure each piece is as perfect as possible, there is a potential for organic flaws to occur from our processes. We feel that these flaws add personality and unique character traits to our pieces. Please do not purchase if you averse to organic process flaws.
Please, also be aware that fiber art is normally more “fuzzy” in person that it appears in photos.
